Does anyone have any experience with the Skyjacker 4" lift kit for FSJs? I have heard they actually give almost 6" of lift. I have also heard alot about the Rusty's 4" kit. What are some experiences with these kits? I am talking about an all spring lift, no blocks

Most 4" lifts on these FSJs will give about 5.5 inches of lift. Mainly due to the sag there already is. I'm probably going to get a Rusty's for mine..

Good to see another local FSJer...!!! smile.gif

I have a Rusty's lift on my GW. I love the ride! Do a SEARCH for both lifts and you'll get all the info you could want. Or, look in the Archives section... Good Luck!

I went with the skyjacker 4" lift on my 89 GW. Got 5.5" of lift with the springs all around.
I am running 33x12.5 on 10" wheels. Love it!

I also have the Skyjacker 4" but with 32X11.50 on stock wheels. Also love it. What VAJeep says is usually true. Wag sag is the cause of the addtional measured lift.

People seem to forget about the BDS lifts...my brother has a BDS 4" on his Cherokee and he loves it. Also, David Allen Racing, at Silver Lake Michigan, give discounts to members. Just another option to further thicken the age old debate: which lift?? I am not associated in any way with said company...just liked their way of doing things.

Well this has never come up before....heh heh :D

Only about every month or so!

I have neither. Mine are the flat, sagg'n low riders that make my back tires rub every time I go wheeling.

But, from what I have "read" on here, the skyjacker is the preferred system due to quality and ride. The soft ride makes them great for pavement whereas Rusty's is reportedly on the stiff side. Some have also had problems with service from Rusty's. That problem may be resolved by now. People were getting incomplete shipments or wrong parts.

The cost difference however makes rusty's and others something you can't overlook. Based on what I have read, I would go with the Skyjacker if money were not too big of an issue. Since you already own a fsj, we know that money most likely is an issue!! tongue.gif :

Don't know if that is a qualified opinion or not but that is based on what I have seen here. Soon we will all be able to ask you how you like yours!!

Good luck! smile.gif smile.gif

I don't think money is an issue...If we wanted to save money..we'd buy another vehicle for sure....
