Does anyone know of a clear coating that can be used on aluminum components such as intake manifolds or bellhousings. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I used clear engine paint. If you have a CAP auto parts in your area they sell a brand named VHT that comes in clear.

POR-15 has some clearcoat products for bare metals.

I vote for the POR-15 stuff.....if it's anything like their other products it will be bullet-proof. Sure it costs more....but you will only paint it once!
