Hi everyone, Havent been on the boards much lately, working my tail off at work and playing with my jeep in my little bit of free time. I finished my front disk brake conversion, found 2 nice cheap (50/pair) ford bronco eddie bower seats, and did the cheapest paintjob you can do. Rustolium gloss navy, shot on, not rolled. Tried the rolling on thing and didnt have much luck with it. Dilluted with mineral spirits and shot it on and it looks pretty good.

got 2 new tires to get yet, I currently have 31s on the front and 33s on the rear. Need 2 more 33s then a lift before I can really take it off road. Hoping to get wiring taken care of soon, Probubly my most dreaded project, tried working with it a couple of times and I cant make heads or tails of it. then a bit of work on the heater and I should be good for hunting this winter.

It is the factory tornado inline 6, 3 speed tranny. just a little over 20k original miles. I am certain it was used pretty hard for the miles that it does have on it, maybe a farm truck.

Great truck! It doesn't look bad for a work truck to me.

Looks great! Your really making alot of progress on your truck. Wish I could say the same about my thriftside.
That blue does look nice. You don't see many dark blue FSJ's.

I fixed most of the work truck damage, the po welded a ball hitch to the rear frame crossmember then totally busted it, rewelded it and busted it again. Also have a few small dents in the corners that I have not been able to get out. I got the ones on the flat surface pretty well but that is the best I can do. Not making it for show, more for fun and learning so its ok with me.

I love long bed thrift sides. Are you going to wet sand the paint? It will come out looking close to a professional paint job if done right.

I have been wetsanding it after every other coat, started at 600 grit and am now up to 2000. Looking good but I dont know if I have the skill or patience to make it look professional.

Once you are done, and the paint is cured some, give it a good wax job. I think it will turn out looking pretty nice.
