Is there a way to test if the power valve is shot on a 2150 carb?
From what I've read on this site, you pull the vacuum hose off the power valve and check for signs of fuel in the line, sight/smell. If there is fuel evidence, then the diaphragm is blown and time for a new one. The power valve vac line is in the lower front center of the carb. Why do you think it's blown?

I got a reply on another forum that involves the power valve. You may ask one of the Jeep veterans here what they think of this procedure.
"The No. 1 most common thing to make that beast run rich and rough is the power valve (if it's the stock Mcraft). Take the carb off, turn it upside down (make sure the gas goes all over your crotch and legs - adds to the experience), unscrew the housing (4 screws with a vacuum nipple on it), unscrew the valve, suck on the back side (make sure it still has raw gas on it - adds to the experience) of the valve to see if the bladded is popped (if it EVER backfired, it's bad!). Go buy the stock valve and replace it. Someone said the holley one stage would work, but I've never tried it."

Regular Holley power-valves will screw in to the 2150 body; how well a single-stage valve would work compared to a factory dual-stage valve is anybody's guess.
A Holley replacement 2-stage would probably work just fine, though they're around $20/each, and the whole rebuild kit for the 2150, including the 2-stage power-valve is only $25 through Autozone.
