find a 6-cyl shaft. haven't SOA'd mine yet, but i think it will work with the 6-cyl front shaft and my 2.5" springs.

401,
do you know whether or not you rotated the pinion up any when the SOA was done? When I did mine, I rotated it up around 2 degrees. When I was still using the stock axle housing, I too ran into the issue of not enough droop out of the stock CV. There are two options for you or I guess three. You could through limit straps, limit the down travel (not my choice), you could (if you have a part-time kit in the QT t-case) get a rear yolk from a QT t-case and use a front shaft that does not have a CV (they allow for more droop), or you could have a company like Tome Woods build you a 1310 CV that has been 'clearanced' out which they term a high-angle cv driveshaft. This is what I did and the shaft is still working fine after at least 5 years. Hope this helps.
Kevin.

My CV binds pretty good at full droop too. I lengthened it, was too short after SOA only to find it binds. I found a place that will weld on a bigger cv joint with more clearance for pretty cheap. Hopefully I will get that done in next couple weeks.

that is a good idea and i have a extra t case laying in the side yard will try it tomorow.

and it isint at full droop my shaft will not even go in place sitting still, to much lift for it , soa + 2" fronts = no :sawzall:
