I wanted to see if there is any good information or links or anything on how the manual tailgate mechanism is setup. My crank spins free, and has a nut/bolt sticking out that I have to use a vise-grip on to lower the window. The window likes to inch itself up, while I'm driving if it's down--and when I lower the tailgate, it shoots out. The glass basically won't stay down. The glass is attached to where it's supposed to be.
I saw one in the junk yard yesterday, and this one had a part/sleeve thing between the handcrank and the tailgate body. Mine does not. Didn't have the $$ or chance to look at that one very well. Help!?
