So, wheel the snot out of it or put a new drive train in it and fix it up for a driver. what would you do?????
I'll get more picks this weekend when i get it home.

Make it a driver / light duty wheeler. Those trucks are super cool, and you hardly ever see them anymore. Just my .02

I'll be inheriting a 54 in a few years... Kinda morbid, feeling anxious about it, but it's in such good condition and the current owner isn't...
Wrong grill bars, I know. but it's a 54. Tailgate is wrong too.

Nice find! I would throw in a new rear end and wheel it. If I had it, I would use the big bearing 9" rear housing I have lying around for it! :D

That's only temporary... They always remember, and bring it up later as if it were new ammo. :banghead: That said, I still wouldn't trade my evil wench for anything. ;)

Awesome truck Dave! I just saw one of them on my way home last night. All stock except the tires/wheels. I'd drive it just like it is. There's two of them near me that have been for sale for a while. Pretty beat up and rusty but one has a tow boom on the back. I'll try and get pics this weekend.

Keep us posted. I just did a Chity V-6 swap into one with the original T-90 and changed the 18 to a 20. This guy also changed the rear axle and the front drive shaft wont clear the bell housing. My truck is in rough enough condition I'm going to do the Wagoneer frame swap for all the available upgrades. The wagon is the wifes and is on a 2x frame so I found a '90's Jeep 4.0 with tranny and tcase for 100. She wants A/C...

 ya right, the cherokee took me three yrs to get done and i still have the stang project to finish. but when i saw it that jeep bug took over and well you know the rest of the story :banghead: Thinking of taken the 77 NT drive train/ d-44's and puting under it. it has the 538 gears now and thats no good for a driver. ohoh maybe slap a 360 in it and the th400 ;) the wheels are turning here in my brain.
