That Neutral Safety Switch I was looking for many moons ago! It was located on TOP of the steering column, just behind the dash on the column hidden from view! I thought it was supposed to be toeard the bottom of the column. The rod that was connected to it went into the shifter part of the column. It broke off where it attached to in the column. So no wonder I could start it in any gear(still can) and had to wire up the backup lights to a flip switch(scares people when I forget to switch em off). Now one of these days I need to "adapt" this switch to my floor shifter(yeah I know good luck). Another project for another day!
Anyone know how to test it to see if its still good??

You guys use all these fancy tools and meters.
I always attach a wire to each side and touch them both on my tongue.
If there is contact in the switch I usually know pretty quick. tongue.gif
