Well they were going down until they met us on the trail and had to turn around. :D The mommas were giving us the "what for" as we herded them back UP. The two brown calves were pretty brave. When we drove through the fresh pies just beyond the herd the Jeep filled with an aroma that would curl your nose hairs.

..
High altitude range cattle in Colorado are eating some bad stuff we don't allow to grow in Texas. It is so bad... well if you stepped into a Colorado cow patty you will rather cut your shoe and foot off than try to clean the mess off. It's ozzzzzing gooy green… well never mind… you get the point.
... One time at the south base camp of Taylor Pass I tried to clean a tennis shoe that the Grand Daughter messed up... I couldn't remove the green stain or smell so I threw it away. Now I need to deoderize the house just thinking about it!
Have a good one and see you later… Don S..
Many new vehicles now have electric motor driven power steering and A/C pumps!… Some day a smart automotive engineer will design an electrically driven alternator.

Don - that cow pie description is very good. ;) I am thankful Luna did not roll in any! :D The outing was a treat after working ditch for two weekends. The first mine up by the cows was Lucky Discovery.
On the second trail we went to Allard mine. This is kind of unusual formation to see around here.

Do you carry a chain saw with you? Up here in the N'west you never know when a tree will fall across a trail and without a good saw your screwed.
Great pic's.

There are plenty of trimmed trees along the trails around here. We only occasionally come across fresh falls. The debris along the trail makes for tight squeeze in some places. On Sunday we saw several that made for potential hazards to tires and grille.

Smell? What smell? Take a drive through Hereford sometime. Over two million head of cattle betweern Deaf Smith, Parmer, and Castro counties.
