ive been thinken i might want to shorten my 73' wagoneer and was curious if any one else had done this. this is not nor was it ever a picture of my jeep. this was also my first attempt a photo shop/ paint. im pretty darn proud of my work. now if only it took that longto do the real thing.

im not sure where to post on here. all but the land preservation forum all seem pretty much the same. if some one could set me straight on that, that would be cool.

Looks good, I've wondered how my Chero would look shortened like that too. I think if you change the rearmost glass panel for a chero sidepanel and glass it would look better cause all-glass on the side kinda looks funky to me.
By the way, are you planning on swapping the leafsprings for links? Otherwise you won't be able to go that far.
this is the correct section. I cleaned your photo up a bit.
I think it would be a TON of work.....but if it floats your boat.

I saw a Wagoneer many years ago in CA that was shortened by removing the rear door and seating section and bringing the rear cargo area up to the front, so the rear stationary window was just behind the front door. There was no rear seat. The rear wheels were centered under the stationary window. I get a feeling they did this to a 60's 2 door wagoneer. It was a rhino wag.

Seems like if you did that using a Cherokee it might look a little better?

i like my wagon and its wheelbase alot. but there is some rot behind the rear wheel wells and the rear sucks for departure angles. mine is a 73 so the rear leaf is shorter.... i think. but if i chopped the body right behind the wheel arch and them removed metal from right in the middle of the roof the lines would match up pretty well. then just remove frame from the rear shackle mount back. the rear glass is flat so getting lexan ones would be easy. i've honestly never anything even remotely like this before. but ive got spare totaled wagon body to play with before i mess up my baby. i need to finish my current projets before i try this one im just doing facts findings. once i get it built and really start playing maybe ill just let whatever smash off any metal that gets in my way.
