Just bought another Wagoneer. 1980 will 31x10.50x15 tires fit on this rig (stock) without a rubbing problem? Thanks to all!

Ah HA!!! another victim of the "Parts Jeep Disease" heheheh. Generally speaking, if the springs are FRESH, some guys can stuff them in there but they're going to rub on articulation. You need a bit of lift, either body or suspension, and/or maybe some fender trimming. Remember, not all 31.10.5's are created equal, or the same diameter either smile.gif

you will be able to run it on the street provided you don't hit a speed bump or driveup a steep incline. my springs were really shot so this did not help. i have heard of a few guys that were alright until max articulation. you can get a lift of some sort of do some fender trimming. it is the rear that will give the most problems

Congrats Gr8lite,
Now I used to believe that a "parts jeep" meant: A jeep that was purchased with the intent of using those parts on the previous jeep purchased, but as Oracle explained to me the other day......"A parts jeep is just a jeep that needs more parts!" tongue.gif

I have an addiction. Funny thing was when I bought my last one, the wife said, "what are you going to do with the other one". I told her that it was just for parts and it would soon disappear. Said said "It had better". A couple months ago she said "Why don't you fix the other one up for me". The one person who is suppose to keep me in line is now egging me on!!! I will not be fixing it up since it is too far gone, but I am on the lookout for a new one. Too bad she wants it for herself.

Now if only the neighbor understood!
