haven't decided what i'm going to do with it yet, maybe a dedicated trail rig.

what's the deal with these, do they not have 4 low? it's got the little box with the "pull here" thing and the 2wd/4wd slider.

congrats on the buy, i love my 83. The Hi, Lo selector should be on the floor right in front of the drivers seat, it is black and lays flat. You won't be able to shift into 4 lo unless it has successfully shifted into 4 hi with the vacuum slider below the dash. :)

Hurry up y'all are falling behindlol, now parting #6... :D

That Limited has the vacuum disconnect front axle. The vacuum lines and shift diaphrams are usually to blame for 4WD shift problems. Looks like aftermarket wood grain on it too. The dark wood grain looks good over white.

yeah when i brought mine home this past winter, it got stuck in my driveway, come to find out the guy i bought it from couldn't fix anything. Of course highway driving in Memphis doesn't require 4wd. Any way, the three vac lines on the axle had broken off, easy fix.
