Either BJs shackles will work (thats what Im using) or pick up some rear chevy lowering shackles and put them on the front of the rig.

I am using the 4" long UDSR shackles from diy4x.com, they are total beef!

I was planning to use the stock chevy rear shackles but they just looked so thin, I knew I was going to bend the crap out of them.

I don't think you need lowering shackles from a chevy because I was going to use the stock ones and they would have give about 1" of lift.

stock shackles from an 88-98 chev p/u (and supposedly 73-87, too) work great up front for a little boost. they are not any weaker then the stock units.

Just remember that for every inch longer your shackles are it is only half an inch of lift.

Keep in mind that longer shackles will affect your caster and u-joint angles.
