White wagon wheels, yes- but only in 15" on J-10's and Chero's.

I don't think Jeep ever offered a 16" white wagon wheel in 6 lug.

I know that the Grand Wagoneer made in Mexico by VAM -Veiculos Automotores Mexicanos- had the white wheel but I don't know if 15" or 16"...

i thought all white wagon wheels from the seventies where either 15 or 16.5. i have never heard of a steel wheel for any truck in the 70s (dodge/ford/chevy) that used a 16 inch wheel. if i'm wrong please let me know. vam made a jeep called the wagoneer sport it had black stripes and white wheels, it was their version of a cherokee, but i would imagine they used 15" wheels.

This also my understanding, that 16" wheels were not OE from the factory.
15" on everything except the 8 lug axles found on a J20 and those were 16.5"

You're right. I have an 81 VAM Wagoneer and it came with white wheels. However, they're 15". They're currently on my parts donnor car.

So maybe the 16" are aftermarket?

yes, 16" would be aftermarket. 15" on 6-luggers and 16.5" on 8-luggers were stock.
