I've got a pretty good clunk going when I turn right. I think it might be ball joints, how do I check?

Thanks,
Anthony

I had a clucnk as well. I parked the Jeep and had someone turn the wheel while I laid underneath. It worked, it was springs shifting.

same here on the springs shifting and loud popping noise but only springs slipping. are there suppose to be clamps on the front springs to keep them from doing this?

I had a clunk after i replaced the front rotor. turned out to be the studs didnt seat all the way. After about 50 miles they found home. I had to tighten the lug nuts two more times before they finnaly seated!

i figured this out the other day! check you spring/shackle bushings. mine are shot and letting the spring twist, which makes that popping sound. i first thought it was somthing worst.

Suspension is pretty new, replaced the springs and bushings last summer. Lugs are all tight, too.

I was looking down under there the other day though and found that my driveshaft isn't connected to my t-case anymore! It looks almost as if someone pulled the straps off and just left the shaft sitting there. I know I didn't leave it unhooked because I haven't done anything down there since I was at silver lake, and I used the 4wd then.

Oh well. Clunk went away.

Thanks guys,
Anthony
