and ideas guys i just broke my alt bracket and have been trying to fab something up for the time being i just dont have the parts anyone got a bracket for sale or know how to build on for a delco?

Where about did it break? In the "middle" of the long thin adjusting groove? If so I used a splint (or a bridge) type of device from the mounted piece to the adjusting groove piece. The problem then was getting the mounting bolt in place because it broke right near that. I ended up getting one from the junk yard about a year later. This was on my '84 so brackets may be different.

Bummer Josh. There's some wrecking yards listed on the links page of the IFSJA homepage. I contacted J&W Auto Wreckers via www.jwjeep.com (http://www.jwjeep.com) about a carb.and they responded very quickly. They claim to have lots of stock Jeeps parts.

well for now i am not worried i managed to "repair" the one i have
i took the mounting brackets off the AIR pump and used them for the ajuster arm
