j-truck Tailgate

Have a guy that took the bed off his j-truck and wants to get rid of it. All I need is the tailgate. It's in decent shape and he says for me to make an offer. What would be a reasonable offer to make?

$100 for a decent gate, maybe some surface rust but no major dents or rotted areas. Less $ if the above is not true. Alot more $$ if it is straight and not rusted out anywhere.

Get the whole bed and resell it on here, maybe the tailgate would be free then. Someone is always looking for a bed.
