Is it really a factory brush guard?

It has a bend in the top rail, very similar in profile to the snout on the hood.

The only brush guard from the factory that I know of is that big one piece job with small diameter tubing that was used from the late 70's to early 80's. I've seen only one variation.

From 79 and on brush guard looks like this:

I haven't seen one of these in person to measure. The mounting tabs to the bumper have to be differrent on this model from the one piece bumper brush guards offered from 79 on. :cool:
