I have to find a shipping method..I'm in a rural farming area..for getting a rear axle to another member...

How much does a 88 GW rear axle weight, minus shocks, tires and rims, and the track bar? And who would ship this thing?

weight is going to be around 125-155, ballpark. You can ship it via Estes-Express, Yellow Freight, etc. Most of those places will allow you a one-time discount shipping rate. Strap it to a pallet using some tie-down straps (the nylon webbed version, etc.).
