I put this info up the other day but my title probably was not the best so I don't think many saw it. I ran across this info the other day and it looked great. It is actually a plasma spray type process that fills in the holes with zinc alloy metal. I sent off for the info but they only sell packages to body shops and the like for a whopping $35,000 for the unit (looks like a modified Mig or Tig welder). Too bad! I think they should take a look at someone like Eastwood or TIP for the restorer crowd I would surely be interested if it were resonable! Take a look.

It's called flame spraying, aactually very common for hardfacing and parts buildup, not something most of us can get into unless John D, is a close relative.

I venture to say, that rust, is like cancer, remove it, then figure out what you are going to do.

Try this: Poormans Metal Spraying- get an inexpensive 110 volt mig welder. Procure various size and shapes of palmsize brass blocks. Back up the edge of your hole with the block, and begin to add metal to the hole edge. The metal in the wire shouldn't stick to the brass, therefor filling the void. Make sure you get the bodymetal as clean and brite as possible or the weldwire will not stick. This works fairly well, but will require practice! Good Luck, Tony
