Is there any difference in heads?

Is there any difference in 79 360 heads and 78 401 heads?
Are they interchangeable?
Is one better (flow wise) than the other?

The reason I am asking is that I still have a spare 401 that I am planning on putting in my 78 chero while I pull the 360 out of it to rebuild it. The heads on the 360 have had some headwork on them (ported and polished a bit) and I am thinking about putting them on the 401 when I put it in.

Then again, maybe just leave the 401 alone.

Those heads should be interchangeable as long as they are the orignal heads for those motors. 304 cid heads have smaller valves, you don't want those. Also don't want rectangular shapes exhaust ports. you want the dog leg style which is much more common anyways.
