Changing door strikers

I am changing out my rusted original 77 doors for a set of 80 doors on my J10. The door strikers are both different with different mounting points (pre-drilled holes)on the cab. The 80 has two holes versus the three hole mount of the 77.

I was wondering if anyone has made this change or has any special tips or ideas about how do go about it.

If the mounting points or holes in the doors themselves are the same, just swap the latch out between doors.
