Ok, I've got the truck doped up with water wetter. Based on how I understand it works should I put in a new thermostat, say 160 or 170? I've got 180 in her now.

The 180 should be fine. Were you having overheating problems?

She would run hot while running around town and on the freeway. A fan cluch helped around town, but once she got hot she wouldn't cool off driving with air moving over the radiator. A new 3 core modine and 180 thermostat helped that. She runs on after I shut her off and idles a little fast. I'll do her timming tonight. This morning she barely got into operating temperature on the way to work. However I caught nearly every light and it was 59°F so I'll no more this afternoon.

Sounds like you could back off the timing a little. Any pinging when the air temp is hot?

No pinging, timing is ok now and she ran nice and cool today of course it was 59°F on the way to work and I caught most of the lights. Only 84°F on the way home no heating issues. It's goning to get hot later in the week so I'll know by then. Saturday I'll be restoring her return fuel line. That's about all I can think of keeping her stock.
