A friend of mine took me out to this guys house yesterday and I made arrangements to buy this for $150. The guy tells me it only had 10k on the original F-head 4 when he parked it. I almost crapped myself when I saw the barn doors.

Awesome find! You AZ boys got it made. If that were in my neck of the woods, you might be able to see the roof, the rest would be a pile 'o rust. Good luck!

Nice find!

When you get sick of the oven, come up the hill and you can see them.

Jeff,
Barn doors out back be sort of rare.
You got some pic's of the side wheel wells and windows?

I see side glass and rear glass wonder if it was a Parkway conversion?

i thought the barndoor thing was a "traveler" package?
which would make it very rare:eek:

Search for posts by willysworker. Guy up in spokane. Might even PM him asking for info?

Get that thing out of the dirt and see how bad the rust is.

Jaberman - you need to add it to your sig. Nice Find!

Seeing that it is a 2x4, and theres a hole in the side of the original block, I'm going to put it onto a wagoneer frame and find a newer drive train for it. The wife wants A/C in it.

GREAT find, I suspect those rear quarter windows are pretty significant

Just on the slim chance that you are unfamiliar with it; there is a whole parallel universe of willy's wonks at
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/WillysTech/
its a lot like our FSJ group but a bit more divided between resto-purists and resto-rodders and not as much hard core off-road crowd. GREAT souces of historical info, parts and ideas. We have a few crossover members here from there---AIRC--Tonka and Mathman

I used to spend a lot of time on there when I still had big hopes and dreams for my 51 pickup (and got bit by the FSJ bug)

very cool and nice score with the round rear wells. I think a waggy frame under it would be great. Slap in a narrow aluminum radiator and rock it :D

I've passed up a couple of those (they are VERY common around here) , nice to see someone nab one.

ALways liked the Willy's wagons. I really like that wrap around bumper. Is that common on those rigs?
