I just picked up a set the other day.
39.5"x15"x16.5"
They are a bit worn, but it was too good of a deal for rims and tires.
I will be selling the rims, 16.5x10". And running these tires on my H1 rims.

Getting a decent set of tires is what has been the biggest stopping point from me putting the 1 tons under my chero.

And I was thinking these would be nice on the street, fair in the dirt, and KICK ARSE in the snow (and some sand, but not too often).

Then when I get things under control, I will get a second set of rims/tires to run some more aggressive tires (maybe the new 42" SX?).

So, anyone running these?
Thoughts, opinions, comments?

I dont know about mud, but like you said, they should be amazing in the snow and sand...

They are a cool, yet odd looking tire... What surface does interco say they were designed for?

BTW, I want the new 43" SX's also (43x14.50-16.5LT)! I havent even ran my 38.5"s yet, but I cant figure out what I was thinking when I bought them...

The 43" SX should be a nice tire, but at that size I would most likely need more lift. And that goes against my goals with this thing.
Knowing how sizes go with the swampers, I figure I would be LUCKY if the 42" SX would measure in around 39"+.
But that would fit the bill for what size I want. I should be able to fit a 40" tire when it's all said and done. BARELY. With about 4 - 6" of lift (and good bump stops).

Still, I wanted a tire I could drive on the road, and also hit the SNOW!!! My SXs did better this winter then I expected, but I wasn't able to air them down past 4 psi without them burping a little air. And those thick sidewalls were a bit stiff.
These srxus sts should be good for this, but I wanted to hear what others had to say. Especially if anyone is running them.
I searched, and only found some people running the trxus MT tires. Different beast compared to the sts.

From Interco's website...

The TrXus STS, the STS stands for Three Stage Sidewall, is a new concept in all terrain tires. These tires are not intended to be a substitute for the Super Swamper or Bogger tires but a tire for you if you spend a lot of time on the street. Besides working so well on the street it has good off road performance and excels in snow and sand. It is also very much at home in the rocks and will impress anyone with its all around performance.

they will do awesome in the sand and snow. and that's about it.

all the jacked up ford superduties (small guy syndrome) ran them when they first came out. now they are hard to get rid of.

only time i've seen them on the rocks... they had so much grip the tires wanted to make it to the top before the rest of the rig did. errr... something like that.

I must be looking in the wrong places... I cant find anything about up comming 42" TSL/SX's...

And Al, that guy looks a lot happier than I would be in that situation.

Those tires were way too big for TTB. No wonder...

I've always thought those tires were wierd looking. I've never run across anyone offroad with them. Mostly TSL's (bias, radials, SX, SSR), then Iroks came out, of course some boggers, and the rest MT's of some brand.
I've seen some on lifted diesels (of course), but not offroad.

An east TN classic is boggers in the rear, TSLs up front. That and slide shackles.

Those tires were way too big for TTB. No wonder...his foot was way too big for his ego too, and any of his running gear. obviously tore the knuckle off, snaped both front outers, snapped both front and rear outputs from the transfer-case.... i wonder why?

edit - little bit of language at the end....

I don't think they were hungover, but on their way to getting really drunk!
Man, talk about too big of wheels for too small and axle with some stupid foot added in.

Ok, so anyone actually RUN these tires?

I have seen them run in the sand, and they do extremely well. BFG AT's are known for doing well in the sand, but the STS really out shines them. And they do ride nicely on the street.
