I've split the case and now what? I'm so ticked I want to just run it down to a shop and let them do it for me.
HELP!!!

Pull both sprockets and chain comes with then. Put together the same way. Take your time pay attention it is not a hard job. I bet a shop will shy away from the job. Shops here Quadra-Trac they run!!

Just yank them out!! Got to do it a little on each side. Mine came out no problems. Just reach up in there and yank!!

Yeah...if you let them, they will bind a little on the way out....keep the two big gears lined up and pull them both (and the old chain) all in one big group...there is NOTHING but a smidge of friction holding them in there....

One tip for when you go to reinstall....if the front end is up on jackstands, you can use your foot to turn the front wheel...that will cause the gears to move in the case and that will help to get all the splines and stuff lined up again...or you can take off the front driveline and move it freely by hand, but that is a bit of a pain....

These are really pretty easy to change chain. I was amazed the first time I did one (with help, they are heavier than they look). I had heard all this huff about the hi-tech design for full time 4wd, but inside they are pretty basic with a limited slip diff in the middle. Drop shafts, lo range red unit, split the case in the truck and whala... Go for it MtnNate... ;)
