dead starter

have a dead starter original on my 86 wagoneer
have to change do i stay with the original or is their a different type

The original type is the only one available that I know of. Same style as Ford, maybe even interchangeable, cuz they sure look the same.
Edit: I am guessing that you have the '86 Grand Wag, if it's the small waggy I have no idea! Sorry!
