but have a question.
"What's it worth?"
My Cherokee's are 90 and newer, so at least I have a couple of Jeeps. :D
I'm kind of a self proclaimed parts scrounge. Some parts I sell/eBay/etc., some I use for myself.
I was out at the wrecking yard the other day and found a 1964 Wagoneer. On it it had what looks to be an original gas pedal that I thought was in good/great condition. It had "Jeep" embossed into it. I snagged it and also the complete horn button assembly off of the steering wheel.
Is there any value to these parts? Does anybody look for these parts from a restoration point of view?
Sorry for no pics, but can post some when I get home from work. I figured you guys might know what I was referring too.
I thank you in advance,
Dan.
PS This is my station wagon....

If its got the 4 light underdash 4x4 indicator lights then I'd be all over those.
Not the 2 light, but 4.
2wd, 4hi, neutral, 4 lo
PM me if they're there.

I'll check tomorrow.
Do you have a pic of what you're looking for though?
What years did they have them?
There's a couple of Wagoneers down there. I can look in both.
Thanks!

I think the pre 65 had the colored lights.

You know what's really odd is I've picked up quite a few of the early FSJ gas pedals and they'e all been in really nice shape with no wear on the rubber. Same with most of the horn buttons.
The gauge cluster is glass, so if it's not broken, it cleans up nicely and you can paint the white background and the needles flourescent orange and use colored tape like the factory did over the indicator lights. I think that was the easiest thing on my '64 to restore.
Like RM stated, the 4wd indicator lights are gold, as well as the original AC, in-dash clock, and dash compass. All this stuff was optional at the time and lots of times, they had a habit of disappearing over the years.

I'm in Grand Junction, CO right now so I can't go over there and look.
How hard is it to pull the cluster?

Reach up behind it and there are 4 clips-2 at the top and 2 bottom. Squeeze them and the cluster should pop out. Since you don't have 4 hands, try squeezing the top or bottom only and popping it out before doing the opposite side. Sometimes it works left and right side at a time. When it's free, disconnect speedo cable and pull out straight out on the harness plug. Be careful not to break the pins. Good printed circuit boards are tough to find.
