Does anyone know a good source for the rubber seals around the doors and the tailgate?

I just ordered some window "whiskers" form these guys:

Specialty Jeep Parts
(www.specialtyparts.com)
1-800-227-3848

The web site was down when I tried to check it though. They seem to be THE source for this kind of stuff.

I purchaced door and tailgate moulding for my 86 grand wag from JC Whitney. Very happy with the quality. I purchaced a set that was a little wider than factory. The doors have to be shut a little harder than normal, but fit snug. Zero wind noise and it makes my jeep sound more solid. I do not have the part numbers availiable right now, but I could dig them up if interested.

Hey Dispatch, please post the item numbers if you find them. I need to replace the seal for the tailgate.

Thanks,
Kevin

I used the one they have listed as number 8 and it worked really well. Someone on this list gave the advice, but I do not remember who and for some reason cant find it with a search. It was enough to do both front doors with one package, and quieted the wind noise noteably.

Hope it helps

Hey Jim.....I ordered the same and tried to install yesterday..... doors are hard to close!...what gives

Mine were kind of hard to close for a couple of days. But they got easier pretty quick as the foam crushed down. If i just swing the door shut lightly, it still does not close all the way, but if I shut it with my hand on the handle (pushing), it closes right now.

But it is a LOT quieter....

Thanks for the info. I'll try specialty parts and if that don't work I'll go with JC Whitney. Thanks again.

Turners has every kind of weather strip that you could need, they even have the felt for for the windows, they are very helpful when you order to make sure get what you need.
