WT axles

I just bought an '83 WT Cherokee. It has the Dana 44 front and AMC 20 rear. The rear axle looks quite a bit more narrow than the front axle,like probably around 3". Is this normal? :confused:

Yep, It is probably more like 2in narrower. this helps the rig track better.

Yes this is normal. You benefit from a tighter turning radius than us J-truck guys (J's have a wider rear axle, and a wider turning radius, which sucks on tight switchbacks)...
