I didn't ever think the words "West Virginia" and "minor rust" could be associated with each other. Welcome (from S. Jersey) to the sickness and remember, don't believe what your gas gauge tells you. :p

Welcome from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I was born and raised in Putnam County, West Virginia, specifically, the Scott Depot/Teays Valley area.
My wife is from Saint Albans.
My first FSJ, a 1981 Jeep Wagoneer Limited was a WVa rig.
Currently, my 1882 J10, another WV rig, is currently stored at my parents home in WVa.

You set up looks like mine, down to the craftsman toolbox. I trashed that thing. it kept comming open while I was carrying it and dumping my tools. That thing was sunk down pretty good from the looks of it. J10's are sweet rigs and pretty soon you'll be craving a cherokee widetrack or a wag. Good luck with it and glad to see another one rescued.
Welcome from Missouri!
Good job on the photos in your first post.

Welcome, you have found the right place of great people, endless resources and lousy fuel economy. The main thing is that this is a "different kind of 12 step program" LOL:p

just thought i would update this its not really much farther then when i left this off last been busy but i did mange to pull the motor only to find it not really worth rebuilding so i will be using the crank and rods in a fresh 4.0 i have laying around and building a 4.5 stroker for it with an offy 4 barrel intake and not sure on the carb ill be using just yet. ive mostly just been trying to collect parts for it and im really going to try and get somewhere with it when the weather breaks. also ive added a few pics to the album. http://s283.photobucket.com/albums/kk295/jeepj10_photos/
also i wanted to give a big thanks to everyone on this site its been great meeting everyone and the info everyone provides is great.
