Nearly every major auto parts store carries this pump. However, some stores have their own name for it (eg. Napa calls it the Durapro). Fortunately, everybody uses the GMB part number: 110-1040P. That's the model for my '91 GW.
Expect to pay between $80.00 and $95.00. For that price, you get a brand new pump and a LIFETIME (factory) WARRANTY. Some distinguishing features are: precision sealed high speed bearings (stock pumps use bushings), high performance impeller that increases water flow 300%, and lightweight aluminum (stock units use cast iron.
I think the Flow Kooler water pump by Brassworks looks better, but, I did not like how they attach the impeller to the pump. They use bolts or rivets, whereas GMB welds their impellers.
I needed to replace the worn clutch fan that was causing my GW to overheat at idle. At the same time, I opted to change out the old water pump. Out of curiousity, I checked the water pump for leaks and didn't find any. That is, until I removed it. That's when I saw the leaks. The water pump was also shot.
It cost me $40 more than the stock unit, but I'm very pleased with the GMB High Performance water pump. Larry.
