I am looking at high steer arms for my Ford D60. There are a ton of different manufactures .. Blue Torch Fab, OTT Industries, Dedenbear, Offroad Design ... just to name a few. A pair of them came with the axle, but they are the 'cheaper' flat arms that do not compensate for the king pin angle. I will have to fab drag link and tie rod.

Anybody have especially good and/or bad experiences with any brand arms?

I am thinking I like the OTT ones ( http://www.ottindustries.com/dana60.htm ) the most at the moment.

i've gotten some stuff from Sky Manufacturing and have been pleased with it. I'm thinking about getting a set of high steer arms from them for my chevy D60. prices are not too bad either.

I bought a passenger side Sky Mfg. "used" (never even been mounted) with the stud kit on pirate4x4 for real cheap, I think less than $100 with shipping. It is really nice quality and looks basically like the ORD one.

I like dealing with PartsMike, used his D44 and D60 arms without any issues.

I have Poison Spyder tie rod end style arms. They're beefy as heck, come with the aluminum puck for displacement in the kingpin, they're angled, and have plenty of slots for tie rod attachment. I just used grade 8 bolts to bolt it on with a new kingpin cap. They clear 16.5" x 9.75" H1 rims with 4 5/8" backspacing.

I was looking at those yesterday as well. Thier website says they are "out of stock," but I think I may give them a ring and see how long before they have some again.

Yeah, I just ordered a driver side, which their website says they have, but they said they're out of all the other ones. Must be getting popular...or lazy :p

I just ordered a set of ballistic fab, they were 260 shipped, they look pretty beefy and have the kingpin angle compensation. They are also a springless design and came with hardware.

I have no testimonial at this point. As soon as I get back to work on Johnson I'll install my front Ford D60 and call in the measurements to Parts Mike and get the high steering w/hydro setup. We'll see how that goes.... it might be October before I have the energy and the weather to get back to work on the Project.

Dont pay twice as much as you have to!!

Check these out, and call Paul at Rocky Mountain Machine 719-578-5805. Mine are Hummer off-set ones, but he has regular ones too. He will also make your tie rod and draglink. I think that mine were $150 shipped...

I am still shopping, these things take time apparently ...

Question though ... Will the arms that are manufactured straight off the top of the knuckle (like Rocky Mountain or Parts Mike) clear leaf springs without a spacer? I have not finished assembling the axle, so I have not bolted it in the truck yet to take measuremets.

No spacer needed with "Mikes" arms. Here is what is sitting in my garage.

Note: Springless Mikes arms on 87 Chevy D60

jtr- will that stock tie rod bolt to the arms? I see it's not in the arm on the drivers side. Is it gonna be too long or just not screwed in yet? I'll have that same setup in a couple weeks & would like to avoid such a problem. thanks, 68glad

Stock 75 J20 tie rod will not bolt up, we are going to take about 1.5" out of the center and sleeve it. As I have learned from the guys on this board, if you use Hummer offset arms you can bolt in factory narrow track tie rod and drag link on a D60. That is what I did on my jeep with a Ford HP60.
