transmission leak

My GW is leaking trans fluid. It is not around the pan. Mechanic said it was some seal. Not the main seal. Any idea what it might be? How is it fixed?

more than likely the output shaft seal,Where the driveshaft yolk goes into the back of the tranny.easy fix,pull driveshaft,remove seal,install new seal.just make sure and use a seal installer.

Just a reminder..........make sure the vehicle will not roll when you remove the driveshaft. A good friend was killed several years ago because he forgot to chock the wheels and when he took the driveshaft loose the car rolled over him. We should remind each other to work safely. Good luck.
