wire harness switch

I found a wiring harness for a fair price. The wiring harness is for an 86, mine is an 88. Are they the same??

I guess I should have been more specific. I have an 88 Grand wagoneer and the harness is for an 86 Grand Wagoneer. Thanks again...

They'll be close but not identical. The 88's have a different starter and solenoid so that wiring will be a bit different at that end. The 88 harness prolly has the stuff for the overhead console too that I don't think was available in 86. The dash changed between 86 and 88 and I think the 86 still ran an ampmeter where the 88 ran a voltmeter so there may be some "creativeness" needed there also.
