Hey man, I can't help you on the numbers right now but if I was you I would hook up the springs, measure the distance from centering pin to centering pin and go from there. Here are the perches you need.

Those are the best in my opinion and are longer than stock to help control axlewrap. I use em and like em. Cut the old mounts off the axle, tack weld those on, make sure your measurements were right, double check your pinion angle, then finish the welds. As for the shock mounts, the front mounts should be fine. In the rear I wouldn't use the stock mounts. Cut them off and make some new ones that weld right in the middle of the axle tubes. This makes for a much cleaner underside. Here is a pic of my setup.

-AndrewAre those disk brakes on the back? Looks good. Would those perches work on a SOA?

Dude, I went to Atlanta this weekend. It was crazy. I got some sweet pictures to prove it. Needless to say I'm dead tonight. GO3Team, yea they work for SOA and yes those are discs on a Dana 60.

The front should be a direct bolt in....

the rear spring mounts should come off in about 30 minutes with a grinder. grinding wheels are cheaper than new spring pads.

Hey OC, since you're going to the trouble to order and weld on new spring mounts why don't you do an SOA while you're at it? It's really not that big of a deal. That would be sweetness.

Hey Nick, that front will swap no mods needed. Just be sure you get the WT tie rods and steering stuff that go with it. When I swapped mine I swapped everything from the pitman arm down steering wise. In the back you'll just need to move the perches as others have said. Keep pluggin away it'll get done eventually.

Can anyone direct me to some info about an SOA? Advantages, disadvantages, modifications needed, cost? Thanks! I don't know the first thing about them. :(

Do a search in the archives and in the tech section for SOA. There will be so much info your head will spin. Check that stuff out and then post any lingering questions here and we'll take care of ya.

when you do the SOA don't you have to come up with some funky steering mods?? the budget is tight right now and i'm not sure if i can swing it. did anyone ever come up with the measurements? i know the wheelbase is something like 106 or something like that. what is the truck?

Wheelbase is the distance between the front wheels and the back wheels. Has nothing to do with steering. Track width might be what you are thinking of.

Go to Riverbeasts website. Cherokee wheelbase is 108" IIRC.

ok, so how much lift, with stock springs, would I get from the SOA, and don't the springs wear quicker with that added pressure?

stock springs and a SOA/shackle flip will net around 7" of lift. And there is no differance in pressure, it doesnt change the weight of the truck. Its just moving the axle from on top of the spring too under the spring.
