Welcome! I'm taking a 79 wag apart these days. Had the TH400 trans, BW1339 QuadraTrac transfer case (look for the coffee can size optional low range unit on the rear drivers side of the case, otherwise there'll be a cover), and F/R Dana 44 axles.
Bought it the beginning of the year for the drive train, sorry can't tell you more.

Well to start with check for rust spots. How much does it have? Check the frame as well as the body all over. Then check the fluids to see what color they are. Especially the tranny. Drive it around and see how it shifts and accelerates. Does it jerk violently when you put it in reverse. The th-400 does clunk some when you do. Check for overall looks to see if it was taken care of and ask what all was done to it.
You should have the 360/th-400/q-track with d-44's. Hope this helps you get a good one. The good thing is that these are easy to work on and not too expensive. Oh, btw, you didn't say a price.

Figure at least $2000 more to fix all that is not working or ready to break. $400 isn't a bad starting point. A rear window is critical because it will rust really quick without it and do lots of body and frame damage.
