Hi.
Well the previous owner said "Stew" will die for no reason, then restart after a while of cranking.
Question is when this happens to me (as I am sure it will sooner or later) what can I do to isolate the problem? Is there a way to check the Ignition Control Module to see if it is at fault? This along with the coil was changed about 8 years ago.
Any other items that may be contributing?
Thanks for any help.
Kevin.

If it dies quick like someone just shut the key off and then later when it cools down starts again I would suspect the ign mod or the pickup in the distributor. If it dies a slow stumbling death I'd guess the fuel system.

Magnetic pick-up coil. Also the cheapest place to start.

If it dies with alot of dieseling. I would think a short in the wires leading to the coil.
