My son turns 16 on Saturday (Yikes!) and had his road test today for his license. In Michigan, your road test is administered by a private company, then the written test is done at the Secretary of State office.

So here's the boy taking his test in a Jeep that was built a year before he was born. He passed the test just fine, in spite of some of the things the examiner said. "You vill stop AT ze stop sign, not just PAST ze stop sign. DO YOU UNDERSCHTAND?!?"

I'm proud of him, and these pics will be priceless in a few years.

Wow. They let you ride in the back seat??? I'd hate that as the tester. Man, I wonder how many back seat drivers they have to tell to "SHUT UP!!!"

Tell your son "Congrats!" AND "Be careful". I was his age once and it's amazing what I got away with.

I was told, rather sternly, that I was not to say a word...

Very nice! Your one heck of a dad to let a newbie drive your GW.
I remember taking my test in a 1974 CJ5. It was a breeze because I had been driving the Jeep for at least 3 years on the farm prior to going on the road.
