Such a nice day here yesterday and I hadn't been in the Wag for a couple weeks, so I decided to run it out and see how it liked its nap. :)
Jumped in, pressed the skinny pedal once and it fired right up...power valve is good, check. Put it in reverse...no clunk, shifted right in without slipping, trans is good, check. Got it backed out onto the road, into drive and stepped on the gas...smooth acceleration, no hesitation, no bogging, carb's running well, ignition's sharp, check. :lol: Man, all the things you anticipate on these...
One of the most enjoyable drives around town I've had. Rock solid, no surprises, filled it up 2 weeks ago and it was still full...so this is what it's like to drive these for pleasure and not for DD. :D Can't wait to get into some of the r&r on the brakes and trans fluid changing without racing the clock to get it done.
