Leaks when full I'm not sure if it's a cracked filler neck or the tank.

The tank is plastic. Can it be repaired if it is cracked?

I just want an idea of what to have on hand before I drop the tank.

Thanks

may be as simple as the donuts around the vent lines. or a rotted out filler hose. either of these would only leak with a full tank. i think that the likehood of a plastic tank cracking at the top is small. however, if it is cracked, i dont think there is any way to repair it.

I've used all kinds of quick fixes that worked fine. If the cracks on top I would use JB weld and rivet a patch over it before it dries. Drill a small hole at each end of the crack to stop it. You could probably get it welded with a plastic welder. Uses heat to melt the crack shut. I'd say the JB or somekind of epoxy will work good though.

yeah, JBweld works in a pinch.... or some of that "steelputty" or "radiator-putty" would work as well, but vibration can cause it to crack.
My cherokee leaked from the filler neck where it passed through the frame crossmember..... i think the oxidation and corrosion of the metal weakened and cracked the rubber there.
