after redoing my fuel skidplate and putting the tank back in, i was putting my fuel sender back in and the float popped off. I figgered one day while filling it up I would just open it up and grab it with some needlenose pliers. Well, as luck would have it, I saw it but just couldn't grab it with the pliers.
Any hints on getting that thing out? Or should I just drop the tank and pull it out that way. Is the float magnetic?

How about a small aquarium net? Maybe extend the handle with a coat hanger? Might save you from dropping the tank.

Duct tape on a stick.....Hopefully it's dry enough to grab. Most floats are brass aren't they? You may have to drop the tank to manipulate it to where you can reach it through the sending unit hole...Just a thought..
