I did the TFI conv.[smooth idle].I hear a buzz coming from the coil.Is this normal or has anyone else have this problem.

Have the TFI in my 87. Hooked up directly to the existing coil leads - no buzz. Sure it's the coil making the sound??

If you hooked it up to your existing wires then theres already a resitor someplace in the line. hook up a voltmeter to the + terminal of the coil when its on at if its less than 12 volts theres a resistor on the wire already.
I just finished my conversion this weekend too..real nice huh?
were did you get the coil? could be a bad one. i replaced mine since the first one was bad.
