Why? That's what an iPod is for. :D
I took my antenna off years ago. I get about 1-2 more mpg that way.

I will once everything else works and I need something new to drain the battery/catch on fire/go wrong.
hypothetically, there is plenty of room in the fresh air chamber for one. Good luck getting access to it unless you remove the fender and cut an access panel (had enough of em apart to know). Not a bad mod if you do alot of brush crashing/tree swimming.

Yeah, I like the concept but at this point I'm not willing to do it myself. I was just sure that someone on here would have done this by now. The stereo is really the last thing that I'm worried about with my tailgate torn down.

with the way these things could not keep water out of places and parts that should not have water in them....i would be scared to place something with power going to it in a fender....especially since that power ant would probably short out and die within a few months....:banghead:

It is in my plan for Bullwinkle, but I have not researched it any further than holding the power antenna up by the fender and eye-balling it a little.

just trying to think out of the box, but would a sharkfin antenna work? it would be high, away from water, and is low profile. just a thought

How about a hidden antenna such as this one? http://www.ecshylites.citymax.com/page/page/761353.htm
There are other models/types out there. I can't testify how well they work but it could be an option for you.
