Just stuck some new 15x7 wheels with BFG 31x10.5s on the wagon...looks great, rolls even better, etc...but when i apply the brakes i get a sort of clicking sound, varies with the speed of the tires, so it must have something to do with the new set-up...the only thing i could think of was that the calipers were hitting the rim or something...i pulled the wheels off twice now with no visible signs of contact on the inside of the wheel or on the calipers...wheel turns freely when jacked up with no noticeable obstruction.

also, only tends to click about 50% of the time, seems to happen the first time i need to stop, but if i re-engage the brakes within a few seconds no clicking, but will occur again next time i hit the brakes after about 30 secs or more of driving...

any ideas? thoughts on what to look for, or things to check? i'm stumped.

Just a thought, but sometimes loose center caps will click like that, not necessarily brake-related but more because of the sudden decelerative force.

hmm interesting on the center caps...these are the cheap kind that just stick through from the rear of the wheel, maybe they are a little losse in there...i will check those. I am hoping to screw on some genuine FSJ center caps, as soon as i can find aset with the open centers for the manual hubs...thanx.
