What other manufacturers(other then OEM AMC/Jeep) wheels fit the Grand Wagoneer if any?

Pre 88 Chevy 6 lug... pre... 87? Toyota... the later styles have smaller wheel centers which won't go over our hubs.

Actually, the Yota wheels from a '95 or older will fit, so will Nissans. But like Dirtball said, wheels from a vehicle with unitized front bearings won't fit over our hubs.

Average bs is ~4.5", and usually find them in 15x7 or 15x8 sizes.

That 95 and below info is really good for me... there are ALWAYS folks getting rid of Toyota wheels around here. I've been thinking of getting a set of road tires and that opens up new avenues.

But the 4.5 backspacing won't work on most of our rigs, right? Gotta pretty much be 4 or under, even on a 16 inch wheel, right?

The 'yota wheels will sometimes drag on the caliper assembly, too. I have some that I used to roll my junk around with and they rubbed.

Aren't the Chevys 3.75? or 4 at the most? They wouldn't bolt right on our rigs if they wouldn't work...

I picked up a set of 6 lug 16" wheels which fit perfect but backspace is about 5". They jam into the tie rod, don't work. Most newer Chevy wheels I've tried have a large backspacing, 5"+. My stock wheels are about 4", a bit less. I can't find a 16" 6 lug wheel with the correct backspacing. I'm going to have to get rid of my 33"x16" tires.

There are a couple companies that will make 16s with custom backspacing for not much more than the standard ones. Just gotta do some searching.

I appreciate that, but these are on my offroad rig and I'm cheap! I have many 15" wheels, I'm just gonna sell the 16"ers and pick up some 15s. Thanks!
