Must be nice!! I keep looking for the Jeep "file photo" script at the bottom of each picture. Looks like the tin man took one for the team.

I had the carpet up on mine over the weekend and the only part that's not rusted are the sheets of aluminum I used the patch my floors.

Lies. There is no FSJ in existence that is so rust free under the carpet.

I pulled the entire interior out in less than two hours this morning. When I came up to the house to grab the camera (to document my good fortune) my wife asked my why I hadn't started working on the Jeep.

I told her I had been working on it all morning she called me a liar and said that my hands were still clean and she didn't smell that "PB Blaster stuff" on me.

This thing is sick. I've removed the entire front clip, three of the doors, the interior (including all of the seatbelts), both bumpers and the only screw/bolt/fastener that has given me any trouble is on one of the rear doors. It appears to have been stripped at some point previously.

I'm still wondering what's holding all the paint together. Either that, or it's really not a Jeep you took pictures of!! ;)

I'm glad someone has good luck with these things not dying from the red cancer.

Wow, my truck has been in Phoenix for the last 15 years and weren't that nice. You need to hurry up and shovel 50lbs of snow, and some rock salt in there before you put the interior back in. :D

The problem now is that you have broken the seal. Now it will rot within weeks :D

Mine looks nice like that in the rear cargo area, and the front only has some surface rust. I think the rear was saved due to some gear oil....when I pulled the carpet and rubber mat, there was a light coating of oil under it. I can't see it coming from the factory that way, maybe the PO spilled something in the back and it worked to my advantage...

The wierd thing was that there was no oil in the carpet or on top of the rubber mat - only between the rubber mat and the steel floor - wierd

Laughing at others' misfortune would make you feel better about yourself? And I'm the jerk?

Regardless, this is one of my other FSJs. This view is looking up at the rear seat from the ground... I hope it makes your day.

This will make you haters feel better... the Jeep came from Georgia and I had it shipped to Missouri. It arrived with water (not antifreeze) in the cooling system so after a couple of days here I noticed the freeze plugs on the ground under the front of it. :banghead:

But yesterday was probably the most enjoyable day I've ever spent working on a vehicle... even my boys chipped in for about an hour removing the window trim and headliner before they turned the tools on each other.

Thought you should know what a real man's floor looks like lol the only reason I am hating is cause this is my current project and it wasn't supposed to be. I saw that there was a hole in the floor on the passenger's side. it wasn't very big so i thought a quick patch i pulled up the carpet and founf the hole in the pics. also i continued pulling up the carpet and found the drivers side was the equally as rotted what someone had done was take a crumby piece of metal and laid it under the carpet making it seem fine. Anywho tough stuff on the whole freeze plugs deal maybe you shouldnt have tried to make us all feel bad sending all those bad vibes everywhere man. good luck:p

Dude... Fred Flintstone has "real man floors"

That is most pre 85ish Jeeps in WI.
I have actually put my foot clean thru my accident (not sure why I would on purpose, unless the brakes failed)

Most don't even have the sub structures any more. J trucks are the worst, most see farm duty and manure is more corosive than salt.
