What options would you like in your Jeep that are offered today?
I'm thinking:
Memory Seating
Heated Seats (have diesel in both FSJ)
Reclining seats
option 3rd seat
rear barn doors
spare tire well in the trunk

integrated cup holders, heated reclining seats, heated mirrors.
Of course these options still don't make me want a new car. If a new car could be had with all the features and character of FSJ, maybe.

That's available now???
Heated Seats (have diesel in both FSJ)
I'm guessing your 6.2's don't heat up any faster than my VW.
I vote for an OD tranny.

Cupholders? Open the glovebox - you already have them!
Reclining heated front seats and air in the back seat would be nice.

Ya, know I DO remember that some had an indent that slightly resembles the bottom of a drink, however, I don't think our glove box has those. Hmmm that'd be a useless study, who has cup indents in their glove box door? Maybe the feds would fund the study!

Heated seats would be good, for us old and decrepit types, selectable lockers for front and rear, factory SOA with 1 ton axles and factory MPFI.

What, nobody wants airbags!?
because those and ABS suck!
there isnt a lot about these things that i would change. fuel injection woulda been nice as well as an OD tranny. the cab could use a cup holder. extended cab woulda been sweet!

Airbags? In these tanks?
I just want a real offroad package - start with a Rubicon transfer case, beefy driveshafts, SOA, ton axles, 33" (NT) or 35" (WT) tires, E-lockers, rock sliders, real bumpers, real roll cage, etc......gotta include cup holders though
Oh, and X1,000,000 on the EFI!

(Grand Wagoneer) plus satellite radio with aux input, airbags (front, side, rear) E-lockers, lose the vent windows, tailgate instead of rear door and power window, 3 point belts in the rear, bigger mirrors, full leather seats, lose the huge antenna, LED turn signals (front & rear), stability control (with ability to turn it off) traction control (also with ability to turn it off), bigger FUEL TANK!!
EDIT:
NO MORE RED/GARNET interiors offered!

galvined steel or stainless steel body and frame, od tran, fuel injection, factory 4" lift, non useless bumpers, get rid of the cowl and hvac system and kickpanel vent, make the frame actually have attachment points, removable hard top, d60s front and rear would be fine from the factory, no more captive nut body mounts!

rear dvd entertainment system for the little people in the back. 3rd seat, with 2nd row buckets ( just like my wife's yukon xl), twin turbo ls-7, 6 speed manual, 4.56 gears, 35's stock, rubicon style drivetrain features. and a sticker on the back window that says keep hummin mine's a real 4x4!

Rustproof frame, turbo diesel, hd manual trans with od and crazy low granny and reverse gears, selectable lockers, lower low range, central tire inflation system, aluminum body panels, better window and door sealing, one ton axles, 4wheel disc brakes, perhaps linked suspension with adjustable ride height, heated reclining seats would be nice, climate control options for the rear passengers, cargo area tie downs, interior panels made from aluminum and not cardboard, stowage compartments in the rear, recovery shackles for pulling other trucks out, very bright amber turn signals, reverse lights that really light up everything behind you, HID headlamps (with white light, not the blue or purple crap), high output alt, and a super high end stereo.

definitely MPFI, modern engine, computer OD trans, tcase with lever, keep the solid axles, climate control and ac ducts in normal locations instead of pointed at my kneecaps, cupholders, blinker-in-side-mirror, proper windshield sprayers (I had to retrofit some from a Honda...) and a 1 gal sprayer tank (installed ugly 5L VW tank in mine), rear window wiper (mine's an 86, this work is pending), automatic window down/up on driver & passenger side, a little better entry/legroom for the rear seat, hid and/or euro code lights, better sound proofing, better engine cooling, braking, power, etc... Not that I'm picky. :D
But I already got enuf to do on mine without having to think of more stuff.

40 gallon tank.Third row seating, a cup holder or 10,Rear Discs, TPI. Delete option the leather ( not a luxury in Phoenix) and dual zone AC.
I'm already working on the Satellite radio, Nav, and Rear DVD, and I am pretty confident that mine will cost less than what a Jeep dealer would charge.

Trip odometer
Never understood why every other vehicle in the world had one but my GW. It was always irritating to have to find something to write down the mileage when I wanted to track MPG.
Or when needing to follow trail directions that where given in mileage increments. It's something simple, just never could figure out why they didn't have them.

The trip odometer is a good one. Automatic OD would be nice too. Other than that, I wouldn't change much. Alloy wheels that are easier to clean maybe.

Please tell me you don't want Chrysler to build ANOTHER weak IFS system. Especially under such a heavy rig. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the IFS on my KJ and it weighs almost a ton less than any fsj. Now, don't get me wrong. IFS can work well, HMMWV for example, but the cost of a rig like that would be out of my reach, I'm sure.

Amount of steel in vehicle does not compensate for airbags. I would rather walk away from a crash with vehicle totalled, than be killed or taken away in an ambulance and vehicle be OK.

About the only things I can think of that I would want for my Jeep is a trip odometer, dual stage rear springs (that have the overload on top with a softer main spring pack) stainless exhaust (wait, I have that..but not stock).
I guess that is it.
