Has anyone shipped a tailgate glass before? How did you do it and with whom?
I have a member here who needs one, and I'm willing to sell, but sorta hesitant as far as shipping goes..I know it's safety glass and all, but, I'd rather see if anyone has had luck doing this before?
Aaron
Dan ( FishinGuru) has shipped windshields to people before.
Ship it in plywood if you are that worried.
Use a couple of layers of heavy cardboard and insure it.

Aaron, I shipped a glass case disassembled for a guy a few years ago...I did basically what Hoot is saying...1/4" plywood with a little frame of 2X2's notched for the ply and the glass...it was a bit of work but it worked like a charm...

if the buyer is paying for shipping... take it to one of those pack/ship places and have then pack it up. I have had several peices of glass shipped to me over the years from flat glass to very curved windshields.
all that were shipped via the "pros" arrived without incident. it will be 'guaranteed' to arrive unbroken.
good luck.

I got the door panels you sent me today and if you pack the window anything like you packed the door panels, they should be able to run it over with a tank.:D
Thanks again.
