transmission came behind the Buick 350? I found a J-truck with the Buick 350 and a Rhino Grille in real good shape. I'm not sure what year model. The shifter is coming out of the floor, vice on the column. I'm thinking about doing some trading for it. ;)

Not sure I completely follow your description. What's "vice on the column"?
Anyway, if it's an automatic, it'll be a GMTH400. A 4-speed manual will be the t-18a. A three speed manual will be a t-15a. (not 100% positive on the 3-speed)
